CHUNG Chia-Chun (b.1992, TW) is a young emerging artist based in Taiwan. He has been invited to several international art fairs such as Art Stage Singapore (2018) and Art Central HK(2020) before he graduated from the Department of Fine Arts of Tunghai University.
In his portrait painting, he reinterpreted the traditional concept of major drawing/painting media such as charcoal, crayon, and acrylic, creating a mysterious yet irresistible atmosphere.
Taking inspiration from the reading of either books or everyday chores, CHUNG’s work deals with the inevitability of (our) life - the eternal state of solitude of one's mind vs. the nature wanting to be recognized with standard social values.
