Carsten Goering is from Sömmerda, Germany. He graduated from the HGB Leipzig in 2017. During his studies, he learned digital art and painting techniques and concepts under the guidance of Professor Ingo Meller.

In the process of creating digital images, Carsten Goering gradually realized that there seemed to be a gap between him and his works, which prompted him to rethink the relationship between the body interface and the works. He began to try to use traditional painting media to present the digital images conceived in his heart. During the creative process, he constantly interacted with the canvas and paint, as well as the chemical materials and the temperature and humidity of the air, which made him re-explore the connection with the works, and finally presented a video painting full of traces of hand feeling and personal emotions.

When viewing Carsten Goering's works, the first thing that comes into view is the mechanically arranged pure-color abstract images. When we stare at them for a long time, we will notice the bumps and gaps on the surface of the works, as well as some hand-scratched marks covering the underlying images. This makes the viewer move his feet involuntarily. When he wants to take a closer look from different angles, the works begin to flicker as the perspective changes. From this point on, his flat paintings open up another space. Carsten's works keep our perception in a running state. The viewer will begin to wonder what he is seeing? Is it the generation of images? Or is it the overlap of colors? There seems to be no starting point or end in this process. They do not stay in a certain state, but open up a process, a sensory experience that continues to flow.
